Workers can join the Rynus network through just five simple steps:
- Create Rynus Account
- Connect Crypto Wallet
- Create New Worker
- Install Worker App
- Configure Worker Node
- Process Computing Job
- Mining Coin (when not processing jobs)
Create Rynus Account
Visit cloud.rynus.io and select from several supported services such as Google, X (formerly Twitter), Apple, and Worldcoin.
- Select your preferred option to create a Rynus account.
- Then, log into your Rynus account.
Connect Crypto Wallet
Rynus Workers are rewarded with RYNUS tokens. Therefore, you need to connect a crypto wallet to your Rynus account.
- Choose the Connect Wallet button at the upper right
- Select a supported wallet
- Connect your wallet to your Rynus account
After the wallet is connected successfully, a green checkmark will display right next to your profile icon.
Create New Worker
- Navigate to the WORKER portal
- Choose the New Worker button
- In the Create New Worker page, fill in the Worker information (Worker name, Wallet address) and Mining config (Mining pool, Mining coin, and Wallet address) as you want.
- Click Confirm to create your new Worker
Install Worker App
After creating the Worker, you must install the Worker app to run the Worker node.
Follow the below steps to install this app:
- Choose the Download RYNUS Worker option
- Run the downloaded RYNUS Worker Setup file
- Follow the instructions to install the app
- Continue the instructions and choose Finish to complete installing the app
Configure Worker Node
- Go back to the WORKER Portal and Download the Worker’s config file (each Worker has a unique config file, make sure you download the right file for it).
- Open the Worker app and import the downloaded config file
- After connecting successfully, the app will show your Worker ID and the Worker status as Connected like this:
Process Computing Job
When you have successfully connected the Worker app on your device, and keep the app open, your device will be shown as an Online Worker on the Rynus network. Online workers will be chosen to distribute the computing jobs from the network.
Once a computing job is distributed to your Worker, it will:
- First, download the job data
- Then, perform the job
Note: To ensure that all the computing resources are used efficiently for the computing jobs, the mining task will be stopped automatically while the computing job is being performed.
Once the job is completed, it will be sent to the Requester. After that, you will be rewarded with RYNUS tokens.
Mining Coin (when not processing jobs)
When your Worker is idle and hasn’t been hired by the Rynus network, you can also run the Worker app to mine coins.
- Firstly, enable the Mining mode.
- Secondly, config mining by choosing a mining pool and mining coin and entering your wallet address (if you haven’t added it when creating your Worker at the Rynus Cloud).
Note: You can only run mining when not receiving a computing job. Mining will be stopped automatically when a computing job is distributed to you.
